He much prefers outboard gear as opposed to plug-ins, because he says that they just sound better, but the main plug-in(s) he uses (and endorses) is the Waves SSL 4000 bundle. The main reason he uses it is ” The whole process of comping down to and mixing from 44 tracks appears to offer him an elegant way of organizing his material and sharpening his creative focus.” ![]() He says it has a sound to it that a computer just does not have.
